Privacy policy

This policy explains what Blueprint Studios - Law Edition collects about you, why, how long it is kept, who it is shared with, and how you exercise your rights. It is written under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 and the rules made under it as they come into force, and until then under the rules on personal data made under the Information Technology Act 2000.

Who is responsible for your data

Blueprint Studios Private Limited, a company incorporated in India, operates Blueprint Studios - Law Edition and decides how and why your personal data is processed. Under the Act it is the data fiduciary.

Registered office: B1204, Avanya Parweshwar, Adalaj-Zundal Road, Gandhinagar 382421, Gujarat, India.
Email: blueprintstudioslaw@gmail.com. Phone: 8582939537.

What is collected

Your name, your email address and your phone number, when you write to us, fill in a form on this site, book a call or enrol. That is what is asked for, and it is asked for so we can tell who you are.

Two further records arise once you are enrolled:

  • A record of the sessions you attend and the level reached, which is what a certificate records and what lets it be verified later.
  • A payment reference when fees are paid through Razorpay. Card and bank details are entered with Razorpay under its own policy and are not held by us.

The web server also keeps the technical record it keeps for any request, such as the address the request came from and the page asked for. This site sets no analytics and carries no tracking scripts.

Why, and on what basis

Your details are used to identify you, to reply to you, to enrol you and run the training, to issue and verify certificates, to take payment and keep the accounts the law requires, and to meet a legal obligation where one applies. They are not used for advertising.

Your consent is asked for at the point you give the data, in plain terms, and can be withdrawn at any time by writing to us. Where you have given data voluntarily for a purpose you asked us to carry out, the Act allows it to be used for that purpose.

Who it is shared with

Your data is not sold, and it is not given to anyone for advertising. It is held and processed on our behalf by service providers who act on our instructions only:

  • Wix, which hosts the forms, the blog and the members area at blueprintstudioslaw.com.
  • Google, which provides email and the calendar page on which calls are booked.
  • Razorpay, which processes payments.

Where a law school, firm or organisation enrols you under an agreement with us, your attendance and the level reached may be reported to it under that agreement, and you will be told so at enrolment. Data may also be disclosed where the law requires it, for instance to a court or a regulator.

How long it is kept

An enquiry is answered within 48 to 72 hours. Enrolment, attendance and level records are kept for five years from your last training with us, so a certificate can be verified, and are deleted earlier if you ask and no law requires them to be kept. Payment and accounting records are kept as long as the accounting and tax laws require. Server logs and every other record are kept for no longer than five years, and deleted earlier where they are no longer needed.

Your rights

Under the Act you can ask for a summary of the personal data held about you and how it has been used, ask for it to be corrected or completed, ask for it to be erased once the purpose is served, withdraw a consent you have given, and nominate a person to exercise these rights if you are unable to. To do any of these, write to blueprintstudioslaw@gmail.com from the address you enrolled with, and say which right you are exercising.

If you are unhappy with how a request has been handled, the grievance redressal page names the grievance officer and says how quickly you will hear back. After that route has been used, a complaint can be taken to the Data Protection Board of India.

Adults only

The training is for adults. We do not knowingly collect the personal data of anyone under 18, and no programme admits learners under 18.

Cookies

This site sets no cookies of its own. The forms and members area hosted by Wix, the booking page hosted by Google and the payment page hosted by Razorpay may set cookies under their own policies when you use them.

Security

Reasonable security practices are followed to protect the data held, including access limited to the people who need it, and the security measures of the providers named above. If a breach affects your data, you and the Data Protection Board will be informed as the Act requires.

Changes

This policy may change as the rules under the Act come into force. The current version is always the one on this page, with its effective date below.
